About us
Alicante Frontend is a nonprofit association based in the province of Alicante, Spain, dedicated to promoting web development, with a special focus on the frontend ecosystem. We are an open, free community with no barriers to entry: anyone interested in learning or sharing knowledge about web development is welcome, whatever their level.
Our mission
Our goal is to foster learning, knowledge sharing and community building around frontend web development in Alicante and the surrounding area. We do this by organizing free technical events, giving a voice to both new and experienced speakers, and maintaining an inclusive space where people can share questions, projects and professional experiences.
We believe knowledge should be accessible to everyone, which is why all our activities are open and free of charge.
Our history
Alicante Frontend was founded in October 2017 by a group of people passionate about web development who wanted a technical meeting point in the province. Since then, the community has grown steadily through its monthly meetups and its presence on social media.
In September 2019, the community was formally incorporated as a nonprofit association to give the project continuity and stability and to make it possible to collaborate with companies, institutions and other communities.
What we do
- Free monthly meetups with technical talks on frontend development, JavaScript, frameworks, accessibility, design, tooling and everything related to web development.
- Open Call for Papers (CFP): anyone can submit a talk and share their experience with the community, whether or not it is their first time on stage.
- Online community through our Telegram group and social media, where we answer questions, share job openings and resources, and stay in touch between events.
- Collaboration with other tech communities, companies and institutions in the province to boost the local tech ecosystem.

How to take part
You can join our events through Meetup, chat with the community in our Telegram group or email us at hola@alicantefrontend.es. Want to give a talk? Submit it through our Call for Papers. Our events are usually held in Spanish.
